Return-to-sport training in Miami
The gap between finishing rehab and being match-ready is where many comebacks stall. Crown builds that bridge with testing, progressive loading and sport-specific work.
Who it is for
Professional, collegiate and serious amateur athletes, including those coming back from ACL reconstruction, hamstring, Achilles, shoulder and other injuries, who have been cleared to resume training after an injury or surgery, and want a structured path back to full competition. Roger has guided pros through this, including Paul Pogba's rebuild before his move to AS Monaco, Adalberto Peñaranda's return to sport, and Wilmer Font's comeback from a major shoulder injury.
Working with your medical team
Crown does not replace your surgeon, physician or physical therapist. Roger works alongside them, and clearance decisions stay with your medical team. Our role is the performance side: rebuilding strength, power, speed and tolerance for sport. For athletes in the acute stages of rehab, Crown's medical advisor, ASR Sports Medicine (our partner at the Brickell location only), provides physical therapy including clinical assessments, shockwave therapy and dry needling, and Roger takes over the performance side as the athlete progresses.
Injuries we work with
Roger works with athletes returning from the injuries below, once cleared by their medical team to train.
Not on the list? Ask. Every plan is built around your injury, sport and timeline.
Detailed guides: ACL and ligament injuries, hamstring, quad and calf strains, athletic pubalgia.
The process
Assess
Force plate, dynamometer and isoinertial power testing show strength and power differences between sides and set a baseline.
Rebuild
Progressive strength and power work restores capacity, with load managed week to week.
Return to speed
Sprinting, change of direction and sport-specific drills reintroduce the demands of competition.
Stay available
In-season load management and re-testing help keep you on the field.
Testing and tools we use
Force plates
Measure jump, landing and strength asymmetries between left and right so training targets the real gap.
Dynamometer testing
Objective strength readings for key muscle groups, used to track progress and guide return-to-sport decisions.
Isoinertial power testing
Quantifies power output under load to set training loads and see how an athlete is trending across a season.
InBody body composition
Muscle mass and body fat tracked precisely, so nutrition and training decisions rest on data.
FAQ
How long does return-to-sport training take?
It depends on the injury, the sport and your medical clearance. After testing, Roger gives a plan and benchmarks rather than a fixed date.
Can I train with you while I am still in physical therapy?
Often yes, with your therapist's approval. We coordinate so the two plans support each other.
Which injuries do you work with?
Achilles injuries, ankle sprains, ACL, LCL, MCL and PCL ligament injuries, athletic pubalgia, rotator cuff injuries, and hamstring, quad and calf strains, among others. Athletes train with Crown once cleared by their medical team.
Do you offer physical therapy?
Through our medical advisor at our Brickell location, ASR Sports Medicine, which provides clinical assessments, shockwave therapy, dry needling and physical therapy for athletes in acute rehab. Crown handles performance training and return to sport.
Do you work with athletes outside Miami?
Yes. Online coaching through Relay Athletic follows you around your club schedule, and Roger travels with and to select clients.
Ready to train with Crown?
Book a session or send Roger a message. Most athletes start with an assessment.
